Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib said he was “glad” his interception during Sunday’s 31-17 victory over the New York Jets “worked out” for Floyd Mayweather Jr., who collected $1.4 million on an $815,000 bet.

Talib picked off New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith with 15 seconds to play and returned it 22 yards for a touchdown that covered the point spread and allowed Mayweather to win $600,000.

Mayweather had bet $815,000 on the Broncos to beat the Jets by more than 7.5 points, according to a report in The Denver Post.

“That’s what Floyd do, man. He makes them big bets and collect them big checks, man,”  said Talib, 28, during a Monday interview on ESPN’s “SportsCenter.” “We were just out there playing football. We weren’t too worried about the spread; I’m glad that worked out for Floyd, man.”
