Jorge Linares says he wants to move to L.A. to be trained by Freddie Roach.

Jorge Linares, who has won world titles in two weight divisions, says he plans to move to Southern California and hopes to train at Hollywood-based Wild Card Boxing Club under Freddie Roach.

"My plan is to move to Los Angeles," Linares told BoxingScene.com. "I wish (I could train) with Roach. The Wild Card gym is the best place to learn, with great sparring. I will prove my skills and be the best."

Linares (31-1, 20 knockouts) is a native of Venezuela, but has been a resident of Tokyo, Japan, since he turned pro.

He TKO'd Adrian Verdugo in seven rounds Saturday in Mazatlan, Mexico, his fourth-straight victory since losing his WBA super featherweight crown to Juan Carlos Salgado in 2009, the only defeat of his career. He previously held the WBC featherweight belt.
