WBC super middleweight titleholder Carl Froch wants his Super Six final showdown with WBA titleholder Andre Ward this fall to be staged in Las Vegas.
The Englishman, who booked his big date against unbeaten American Ward with a points victory over Glen Johnson two weeks ago, believes the title-unifcation matchup deserves top billing in boxing's No. 1 city.
"I'm pushing hard for this fight to take place in Las Vegas, " said 33-year-old Froch. "It's the boxing capital of the world and to see my name in lights along the Strip would be awesome.
"All boxers dream of fighting there and I am no exception. I'm very hopeful a deal can he done."
Ward also has said he'd like the fight to take place in Las Vegas. New York reportedly is being considered.
Oct. 29has been penciled as a possible date.
