Tony Thompson and Eddie Chambers have agreed to fight in a heavyweight title eliminator.

Tony Thompson and Eddie Chambers have agreed to fight in an IBF heavyweight title eliminator, likely in October in Atlantic City, N.J., according their promoter, Dan Goossen.

Goossen said that Thompson has signed a contract for the fight. Chambers has made an oral commitment.

The IBF titleholder is Wladimir Klitschko, who has knocked out Thompson and Chambers.

Thompson (36-2, 24 knockouts) has stopped each of his five opponents since he lost to Klitschko. Chambers (36-2, 18 KOs) outpointed Derric Rossy in his only fight after Klitschko in February.
