Nathan Cleverly-Tony Bellew press conference tension quelled by police

Police were called to quell violence that broke out between the camps of WBO lightheavyweight titleholder Nathan Cleverly of Cefn Forest, Wales, and challenger Tony Bellew of Liverpool, England, during a Monday press conference promoting their Oct. 15 clash that is slated for the Echo Arena in Liverpool.

According to reports, the disruptions began when shortly after Vince Cleverly, the father and trainer of the 24-year-old Nathan Cleverly (22-0, 11 KOs), had to be restrained after feeling he had been insulted by a member from the team of the 28-year-old Bellew (16-0, 10 KOs).
