Gutierrez replaces injured Bravo against Salido

WBO featherweight titleholder Orlando Salido will take a non-title bout on July 28 with plans to defend his belt against Mikey Garcia in the fall.

Mexican beltholder Orlando Salido will face Moises Gutierrez, of Chile, instead of Gutierrez's injured countryman Oscar Bravo in a 10-round non-title junior lightweight bout on July 28 in Chihuahua, Mex., according to Sean Gibbons of Zanfer Promotions.

Salido (38-11-2, 26 knockouts), who holds the WBO's featherweight title, is rising in weight following the second of two stoppage wins over Juan Manuel Lopez (31-2, 28 KOs), the first of which earned him the belt.

Gutierrez (21-4, 8 KOs), who is 33, has won four straight, two by knockout, since losing a six-round split-decision to Bravo (20-3, 9 KOs) a year ago in July.

On the Salido-Gutierrez undercard, featherweight contender Miguel "Mikey" Garcia (28-0, 24 KOs) is expected to face an opponent to be determined, according to Top Rank CEO Bob Arum, who is looking to match Salido against Garcia in the fall if each is victorious.

Arum said he the goal would be to place Salido-Garcia on the undercard of a Nov. 10 main event featuring Manny Pacquiao, who is reportedly considering rematches for that date opposite current WBO welterweight beltholder Tim Bradley, four-division and WBA and WBO junior welterweight titlewinner Juan Manuel Marquez or three-division beltwinner Miguel Cotto.
