The 2014 Boxcino tournaments that have aired on Friday Night Fights this year culminate tonight with a lightweight final between Petr Petrov and Fernando Carcamo and a middleweight final between Brandon Adams and Willie Monroe Jr. in Verona, N.Y.
Brandon Adams and Willie Monroe Jr. will meet in the ESPN2-televised Boxcino middleweight finals on May 23 at the Turning Stone Casino in Verona, N.Y., the site of their semifinals victories on Friday. Adams outpointed Raymond Gatica. Monroe Jr. outboxed Vitaliy Kopylenko.
The Boxcino lightweight tournament semifinals took place on this week’s Friday Night Fights and it was Petr Petrov, who stopped Christopher Rudd in the fourth round, and Fernando Carcamo, who won a majority decision over Miguel Gonzalez, that advanced to the final.
The semifinals of the Boxcino lightweight tournament will take place on Friday at the 4 Bears Casino and Lodge in New Town, North Dakota. ESPN2 will televise both eight-round bouts live on an Friday Night Fights telecast.
