Much of the trash talk between Paulie Malignaggi and Adrien Broner has revolved around a girlfriend, once of the former and now of the latter, and it got even trashier when Broner decided to bring her to the press conference in Brooklyn on Thursday.
Paul Malignaggi insists that he’s not bothered by fighting in his hometown as the defending champion and at the same time being branded a huge underdog, or by criticism of his punching power. “I’m coming to beat (Broner’s) ass,” he said.
In what might be the most unexpected thing to come out of Paulie Malignaggi’s mouth yet, he said that the pre-fight vitriol between himself and Adrien Broner has gotten a little too “personal.”
Barry Hunter, the long-time trainer of IBF junior welterweight titleholder Lamont Peterson, tells RingTV.com that Peterson has been joined in training camp by WBC lightweight titleholder Adrien Broner in Peterson’s hometown of Washington D.C.
