After a year’s absence, RING cruiserweight champion Yoan Pablo Hernandez will return to action on Oct. 2 against Victor Ramirez.
In a close and very entertaining bout with a controversial result, Argentina’s Juan Carlos Reveco lost his WBA flyweight belt in Japan at the hands of local superstar Kazuto Ioka.
Juan Carlos Reveco has canceled his WBA flyweight title defense against Thailand’s WBA flyweight interim titlist Yodmongkol Vor Saengthep which had been postponed until Friday, Oct. 31 from its original date of Oct. 17, due to an injury in his left arm.
The last two weeks have been relatively quiet in terms of action involving RING-rated fighters. However, some of the magazine’s top-10 contenders were in action, such as heavyweight Odlanier Solis, who lost to Tony Thompson and was dropped from the rankings.
Veteran flyweight standout Juan Carlos Reveco scored an impressive second-round KO against Manuel Vides, and cruiserweight contender Victor Emilio Ramirez scored a TKO in Round 4 against Glendy Hernandez, in their native Argentina on Friday.
