In a precursor to Saturday’s Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Marcos Maidana rematch, Golden Boy Promotions held a special Sept. 11 card in Las Vegas that saw heavyweight hopeful Luis Ortiz score a first-round TKO of Lateef Kayode and featherweight standout Jesus Cuellar brutally stop faded two-division titleholder Juan Manuel Lopez in two rounds.
