Attorneys for Julio Cesar Chavez have requested a maximum six-month suspension and a $10,000 fine as a penalty for his positive drug test for marijuana following September’s loss to Sergio Martinez. Chavez can be suspended for up to a year and fined the entire amount of his $3 million purse, or a combination of both.
