Nathan Cleverly wants to unify his WBO light heavyweight title with THE RING, WBC and IBF titles held by Chad Dawson and Bernard Hopkins, but the unbeaten Welshman isn’t overlooking mandatory challenger Robin Krasniqi, who he fights Saturday in London.
Light heavyweight titleholder Nathan Cleverly hoped to defend his WBO belt against the likes of Bernard Hopkins and Carl Froch. Instead, Cleverly will face Ukrainian Vyacheslav Uzelkov at the Cardiff MotorPoint Arena on Oct. 27.
Bernard Hopkins: "I don't want my next fight to be just a fight. It has to be historic. If I fight just a fight, then I would probably lose... I want at least one or two more fights. Then, I want to exit out of this game."
