A surgeon has determined that Robert Guerrero probably fought for years with a torn rotator cuff injury before aggravating it during a sparring session that forced the cancellation of his fight with Marcos Maidana on Aug. 27.
Robert Guerrero will receive arthroscopic surgery Tuesday to repair a torn tendon in the rotator cuff of his left shoulder, the fighter told RingTV.com.
The rotator cuff injury that Robert Guerrero suffered while training for Marcos Maidana is not career ending, according to a sports medicine specialist.
