Super middleweights Sakio Bika and Marco Antonio Periban will fight for the vacant WBC title on the June 22 undercard of a Showtime-televised main event featuring Paulie Malignaggi's WBA welterweight title defense against Adrien Broner at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Well-traveled super middleweight Sakio Bika will face Marco Antonio Periban for the WBC title following Andre Ward's being declared "Champion Emeritus."

Florida welterweight standouts Andre Berto and Keith Thurman are schedueld to fight in separate bouts on a Showtime-televised card in July. Berto will face veteran gatekeeper Jesus Soto-Karass; Thurman will fight fellow unbeaten puncher Diego Chaves.

Heavyweight Johnathon Banks was advised by Wladimir Klitschko not to face Seth Mitchell after having suffered a broken right thumb during a sparring session on Monday. 

Heavyweight Johnathon Mitchell has suffered an apparent thumb injury that will force him out of a Feb. 16 rematch with Seth Mitchell, whom he knocked out in the second round in November.

Having lost title bouts to Andre Ward, Lucian Bute and Joe Calzaghe, super middleweight contender Sakio Bika looks to cash in on a potential WBC title fight agianst Nikola Sjekloca on Feb. 16. 

Heavyweight Seth Mitchell on his rematch with Johnathon Banks: "I wanted this fight. I want it to be known that I wanted this fight, and that I asked my team to get me this rematch."

Super middleweight contender Sakio Bika could face Nikola Sjekloca for the WBC's interim belt on Feb. 16, according to Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer.
